It was only a matter of time until the Democrat Lynch Mob began its run at President Bush over the Iraq war. The icing on the cake is that they are also going after him on the response to Hurricane Katrina. It would have been too much to expect that the Democrats would parley their newly regained majorities in Congress into an opportunity to rewrite National policy to suit their liberal agenda. You know, seize the moment and so forth.

A House Judiciary subcommittee approved today the first in what is expected to be an avalanche of subpoenas to Bush administration officials. They will likely explore corruption and mismanagement allegations on everything from pre-war Iraq intelligence to the mishandling of the response to Hurricane Katrina.

The first round of subpoenas concern the recent controversial firings by the Bush administration of seven U.S. attorneys, some of whom were pursuing public corruption cases against Republican members of Congress. Story

It is clear that their hatred of President Bush, as well as a psychotic desire for payback for the Clinton impeachment has clouded their judgment. There is nothing more important to the new Democrat majorities than “getting Bush”; a lame duck President who is out of office in less than two years! This is a classic case of Democrat overreaching and could very well blow up in their face.

It will reflect badly on the Democrats when legal council retained to represent the Bush Administration calls Mayor Nagin and Governor Blanco to testify on their roles in the Katrina tragedy. The unused, flooded school buses the EAP said were to be used to evacuate the immobile, the urgings by the President for Governor Blanco to evacuate New Orleans in the days before the Hurricane hit, not to mention the money that was earmarked for reinforcing the levies that somehow found its ways into other projects.

In retrospect, I look forward to actions of the Democrat Lynch Mob as they pursue this ridiculous course of action. I especially look forward to seeing how public the numerous Democrat Presidential hopefuls will be during this. When this vengeful abomination has run its course and the Democrats wind up looking like fools, it will bode well for the GOP in 2008. To Democrat leadership I say “let the games begin”.

Ok, we are all under the continuous assault of the global warming sect. All scientific data that disproves global warming is dismissed out of hand and the establishment hands out awards to the most unstable of proponents of this ridiculous notion; i.e. the Oscar given to Al Gore. The National Geographic society has a piece on its web site that, interestingly enough, says that Mars’ temperature has been rising at the same time as the Earth’s.

Certainly the Martian global warming phenomenon is due to man’s influence as well isn’t it? The probes and rovers that have been sent to examine Mars must have triggered greenhouse gasses and been loaded with exhaust from SUVs. Or, is it possible that the Sun is going through a warming phase itself; a phase it experiences once every 1500 years? This could well explain why there have been numerous ice ages documented in this planets history; each of which eventually melted.

Liberals have been calling out for a resurrection of the fairness doctrine. When it comes to Global Warming it is time for the media to give equal time to those who believe that it is farce concocted and one of the greatest cons perpetrated on the world in this new century. Take, for instance, Al Gore buying “carbon offsets” from Generation Investment Management LLP; a firm of which he is the chairman and founding partner.

And, in fact, in the Reverend Al's case it's even better than that. Al buys his carbon offsets from Generation Investment Management LLP, which is "an independent, private, owner-managed partnership established in 2004 and with offices in London and Washington, D.C.," that, for a fee, will invest your money in "high-quality companies at attractive prices that will deliver superior long-term investment returns." Generation is a tax-exempt U.S. 501(c)3. And who's the chairman and founding partner? Al Gore.

So Al can buy his carbon offsets from himself. Better yet, he can buy them with the money he gets from his long-time relationship with Occidental Petroleum. See how easy it is to be carbon-neutral? All you have do is own a gazillion stocks in Big Oil, start an eco-stockbroking firm to make eco-friendly investments, use a small portion of your oil company's profits to buy some tax-deductible carbon offsets from your own investment firm, and you too can save the planet while making money and leaving a carbon footprint roughly the size of Godzilla's at the start of the movie when they're all standing around in the little toe wondering what the strange depression in the landscape is. So the celebrated front man of the Global Warming movement is finally being revealed as the huckster that many of us think he is. Perhaps it is time that we had a conference of scientists who don’t believe in the global warming theory; and perhaps, the media will cover it. Who would host such a conference? The only man who has the stones to put his money where his mouth is is Michael Savage; lets see if this conference gets the same level of media attention that Oscar winner Al gore does:

I find myself, perhaps for the first time in my life, agreeing with organized labor on an issue. Before you think I have lost my mind, hear me out. Last week we received news that Mexican Trucks will be allowed to haul freight into the United States. Organized labor naturally sees the threat to American jobs with Mexican carriers operating north of the border; if you are naive enough to think they will drop their cargo and go straight home, think again. On this point I must agree with the unions, there are much deeper concerns than the loss of American jobs however.

The news that Mexican trucks will be allowed to haul freight deeper into the United States drew an angry reaction Friday from labor leaders, safety advocates and members of Congress.

They said Mexico has substandard trucks and low-paid drivers that will threaten national security, cost thousands of jobs and endanger motorists on the northern side of the Mexican border. Story

Given the red hot nature of the illegal immigration issue, how could this measure fly? The United States has been unable to secure its southern border as it is; now they are allowing cartage companies to haul freight across the border? This could well be a boon for the coyote business; no more beat up pick ups and vans, just load crates with people, stack them in the nose of the truck, and put legitimate freight behind them.

Beyond increasing the options of conveyance for Mexicans wanting to gain access to the United States, this is providing the same opportunity to OTM (other than Mexicans). Don’t think for a second that this new softening of the American border won’t figure into Al Qaeda’s next plan for inserting terrorists into the United States. Send the terrorists and their bombs packed with goods coming across the border, what could be easier?

Naturally the Bush administration speaks about increased security and inspection of trucks. I don’t doubt there will be a big show at the onset, but like every other program that fails along our southern border, it is only a matter of time (short time) until the inspection program is rendered as insignificant as our current immigration control programs. How long until the first truck bomb rolls across the border and is detonated in the United States? This is yet another misstep on the border Issue by our government and it could be a very costly expense; how much worse will it get until this Nation wakes up and takes its National Security seriously?
